Two Die, Driver Arrested after Gwinnett County DUI Accident

A driver accused of causing a Gwinnett County car wreck that killed two people has been charged with driving under the influence and vehicular homicide.
 
Twenty-two-year-old Soon Kwon was traveling south in a Lexus on Steve Reynolds Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday, December 13.  He sideswiped a Kia and then crossed the turning lane where the Lexus struck a Honda Accord head-on.
 
Twenty-two-year-old Se Shin, a passenger in the Kia, died at the scene of the accident.  The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.  The next day, twenty-three-year-old Eddie Ko died in the hospital from those injuries
 
The driver of the Kia, Gho Lee, was arrested after the accident for driving while under the influence.  He has been released.  On Wednesday Kwon was arrested and charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Drunk driving deaths increase in December.  In December 2009, 753 people died in drunk driving accidents.
