One Dead in Lawrenceville Reckless Driving Crash

A man from Valdosta, Georgia has been charged with vehicular homicide for causing the Gwinett County car crash that caused the death of a 19-year-old from Suwanee.
 
The deadly Georgia accident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 14 near Lawrenceville.
 
Twenty-three-year-old James C. Griffin was headed south on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road near Taylor Road when he swerved between lanes.  His pick-up truck, a Chevrolet Silverado, became airborne and landed on a Toyota Camry in the other lane. The driver of the Camry, Najee E. Griffin (no relation) was pronounced dead on the scene.
 
The Silverado continued traveling south until it struck a utility pole.  James Griffin and his passenger sustained only minor injuries.
 
James Griffin was also charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane. The accident remains under investigation, and more charges may be filed.
 
Reckless driving refers to the operation of a motor vehicle in such a manner as to indicate a willful disregard for personal safety or the safety of the public.
