Duluth Man Charged In Fatal Gwinnett County Car Crash

A Duluth man has been charged with vehicular homicide after causing a Gwinnett County DUI car wreck that killed two people and left three others injured. 
 
The crash occurred on December 12, 2010, at 3:30 a.m. on Steve Reynolds Boulevard near Satellite Boulevard.  
 
Twenty-two-year-old Soon Mo Kwon, a Korean citizen, was driving a Lexus on a Steve Reynolds Boulevard when he made an improper lane change and sideswiped a Kia Forte.  The impact swung the Lexus into traffic and the vehicle hit a third car.
 
A passenger in Kwon's car, 22-year-old Se Shin, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the Georgia car crash. Twenty–three–year–old Eddie Ko, the driver of the third vehicle, died from his injuries while being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital. Three other passengers sustained serious injuries.
 
Kwon is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, three counts of serious injury by vehicle, DUI, and improper lane change. He is also being held for an immigration violation.
