Two Die In Coweta County Car Crash. Driver May Have Been Texting.

A teenage driver who died after a Coweta County car crash may have been texting at the wheel.

The Georgia traffic accident occurred on Friday, May 27, 2011, on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan.  Just before midnight, 29-year-old Linda Devora LeFlore exited I-85 in a 1993 Honda Civic and turned left on a green light to go east on Bullsboro Drive.  Sixteen-year-old Taylor Brooke McKee ran a red light in her 2003 Chevrolet Tracker and struck Leflore's Civic on the driver's side.  Both drivers were killed in the accident.

McKee had two passengers in her vehicle: Amber Harrison, 16, and Elyssa Jordan, 15.  Both girls were injured.  Harrison was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and Jordan was taken by ambulance to Piedmont Medical Hospital in Newnan.

No one involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt.

Drugs and alcohol are not considered likely factors in the accident.   However, Taylor McKee's sister, Hannah McKee, said it is possible that her sister was texting before the wreck.

This is an especially tragic loss for all involved.  Hannah and Taylor lost their mother to cancer six years ago.  The Atlanta accident attorneys at Shane Smith Law would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the families of Taylor McKee and Linda of Devora LeFlore.
