High School Student Dies In Fulton County Car Crash

It is May. High school seniors are getting ready for prom, looking forward to graduation, and planning their future.  Julian Moss, a senior at Tri-Cities High School, was no exception.  The 18-year-old football player looking forward to graduating on May 27 and was planning to enlist in the military.
 
But his life and his dreams ended on Saturday, April 30, 2011, when Julian was killed in a head-on collision in Fulton County.
 
The southwest Atlanta car accident occurred late on Saturday.  Moss and a friend were traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he the center line and crashed into a truck at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Westlake Boulevard.   Moss was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition. The driver of the truck was taken to also taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is in critical but stable condition.
 
Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for young people between the ages of 15 and 20. Moss was known as a great kid. But, even great kids are at high risk of death in car accidents. Safe driving skills come with experience.
